IMAGO SHOWROOM
After years of working as CAD engineers and model makers for major designer jewelry houses in Shanghai, we grew weary of the fashion industry's relentless appetite and the endless remixing of prevailing trends. In response, we founded the Project Imago studio and showroom in Jing’an Villa—Shanghai’s largest surviving lilong residential compound and a protected heritage site.
Tucked away in this labyrinth of century-old buildings, our space is both a quiet retreat and a site of quiet resistance. We chose not to follow a curatorial script; instead, sketches, found objects, paintings, and jewelry pieces coexist organically, inviting a slower way of seeing. Here, historical architecture converses with modern jewelry technologies. Immersed in the pursuit of craft, technique, and cultural resonance, we remain intentionally distant from the noise of fast fashion.
